Here at Coop Bikes, we like to pride ourselves on our knowledge of everything bicycle, from traditional Hybrids, Road bikes & MTBs plus many of the latest eBikes including those that are Bosch, Yamaha and Shimano equipped.
We don’t have any fixed fees as all bikes are different & where one bike may need a complete overhaul another may just need a simple tweak of the brakes & a basic check over. But we have a half hourly rate of £22.00 which will usually cover the most basic of jobs.
We have a bill of fare for many individual jobs if your bike only warrants it.
A basic service with new cables & brake pads including labour may hover around the £90.00 mark, although £120.00-£140.00 if brakes are hydraulic and require bleeding. But as with all bikes these can increase with the more work and components required, of which we will estimate for you first.
Puncture repairs (tubed) cost from £14.99 & often can be performed whilst you wait or certainly within a short period of time if we’re tied up when you come in. Tubeless will be done on our half hourly rate of £22.00.
We do love to receive your bikes clean & tidy, but we will clean when required & cleaning charges are a minimum £15.00.
Service work for bikes purchased from us include a 1st free check over that we require to be performed within 2-3 months of purchase. Whereupon this has been done we will then offer you a labour free service that will expire 18 months after day of purchase.
NB: Although we’d rather not have to, due to an increased demand for service work & space in the workshop, there is now a daily non-collection of completed bikes charge of £5.00 per day unless an agreed collection day has been determined.
Matt from Coop Bikes has been so good in helping me choose my new E-bike, he took the time to explain everything in terms that I can understand, and went through the range that they offer with me without any pressure to buy. I returned a few days later after looking at alternatives from other local shops and was in no doubt that the model I eventually chose from Coop Bikes was the right one for me. Within just a week Shaun called me to say it was ready for me to collect, and I picked it up and rode it home today with a big smile on my face. I wholeheartedly recommend these guys for bikes of all sorts, they're truly fantastic at what they do.

Great, efficient, friendly service west of the island at St. Peter's. Easy access to shop with parking right outside very handy just to nip in for spares or dropping your bike off for a service. Having not used my road bike for a little while it had totally ceased up after giving it a good clean I popped up to Coop Bike shop to see when I could book it in. Shaun took a quick look at the bike and sorted the problem there and then. Thanks guys.
Highly recommend the guys at Coop Bikes. Having been looking into getting an E-Bike for a while now I visited the shop last Thursday & discussed my requirements & in next to no time I had chosen my bike & placed the order. Got an email yesterday saying it was ready for collection, went along today & was talked through in detail by Matt how to use my new set of wheels. Totally smooth & efficient service. Thanks guys
I took a second hand bike to be checked over and serviced , they asked how old my son was and how much longer we thought he’d be riding this bike and then did a service to make safe and useable for the short period of time my son will be riding it, the service quote initially was £80 but after him asking all the right questions they did a service for a lot cheaper, they were very pleasant and professional, service with a smile thanks Coop Bikes
We visited Coop Bikes to purchase our youngest sons first bike for Christmas, they appreciated that we needed to keep our discussion and purchase discreet as we had him with us. Excellent customer service and a great selection of bikes
